Adventureland Video was founded with the goal of sharing movies. Then we urged you to take that cinematic experience home with a home theater. Rest assured, neither will be abandoned.
Through both, I have gotten to know indie filmmakers and the mom-and-pop theaters and drive-ins that keep Hollywood alive. Yes, I think studios and theater chains are killing themselves.
You likely know an indie filmmaker. Most work a day job to support their film. Relying on friends & family for cast & crew. This is where original ideas are found.
Mom-and-pop theaters rely heavily on concessions. For every $1 of ticket sales, they keep mere dimes. Chains benefit from volume sales & bulk discounts.
For this reason, our goal is to support both while we promote the fellowship of film. Movie Nights are our way of doing this. Be it a theater, a drive-in, or hosting your own screening with friends & family.
To achieve our community goals, we need volunteers. Especially the skills of artists, coders, writers, and contributors. Of course, we need traffic. So share our links or use our banners.
