I'm going to be honest with you. Buying online has become a necessary risk today. While I have no way to guarantee your experience, maybe I can help you.
Are you ready to shop online? I use a prepaid card to limit my loss. Load it only with the amount needed for the purchase. Be careful giving anyone access to your debit card. A compromised debit card is a nightmare.
Be an informed shopper. Carefully read the retailer's policies. If something concerns you, email them or use their chat function. Check out the various review sites. Note issues other shoppers had and the outcome.
Be a healthy skeptic. Carefully read and reread the product description and dimensions. Look for product reviews and unboxing videos online. With videos, I urge you to read the comments too.
Document everything. Screenshot pages that pertain to the products and the checkout procedure. Note any numbers and save any related emails. These will be most important should an issue arise.
When your package arrives, photograph any obvious damage before you open it. While you unpack, do the same for any obvious product damage. Assume they won't trust you, so you are ready to plead your case.
Good or bad, share your experience online. You could spare someone a great loss or lessen their stress. We are marks to businesses and people to each other.
Trust your instinct and risk what you can afford,
Paul
